Thin is in with this stainless steel men’s watch from Invicta’s Slim Collection, which is a great choice for everyday casual wear. But with its amazingly svelte 5.5mm (0.22 inches) profile, it can also be perfectly tucked under the cuff when dress or business wear is called for. And while it might be stereotypical, the truth is many of the world’s finest and most accurate timing movements are created in Switzerland. Matched with a supple black leather strap, this watch has a square, gun metal gray stainless steel watch case that measures 39mm wide (1.54 inches). It’s water resistant to 30 meters (99 feet), also known as 3 ATM. This means that it can withstand rain and splashes of water–such as car washing and showering–but it shouldn’t be worn swimming.

Other features include a scratch-resistant mineral crystal, stainless steel buckle, and Tritnite luminous hands. Tritnite is a luminous material with an extended glow exclusively developed by Invicta in Switzerland and added to their timepiece hands and markers. When exposed to regular daylight, it will hold its glow for about 20 hours.

Quartz Movement
The “movement” of a watch refers to the mechanics that power the ticking of the timepiece, and this watch is powered by a Swiss-made quartz movement. It utilizes the vibrations of a tiny quartz crystal to maintain timing, which provides a fast, steady oscillation (at more than 30,000 times per second) to provide excellent accuracy.

Automatic Watches

Automatic watches donot operate on batteries. Automatic watches are made up of about 130 or more parts that work together to tell time. Automatic movements mark the passage of time by a series of gear mechanisms, and are wound by the movement of your wrist as you wear it. I love this watch! It’s great i saw this as a really good deal at amazon and i really liked the design and though it was about time to get a watch anyway (since I never really owned a quality watch before). The quality is great the fact that is goes underwater is great it’s size is great…for me, I am a youthful college freshman so being a part of the youthful age group its ok to exaggerate, like the size of this watch, its BIG like the front is really thick and might not suit the tastes of older watch appreciators, like my dad who liked it too but thought it was a bit too big as well although it is relatively chunky its made in a curvy way to accommodate so its still comfortable and lastly the quality is great for a 0 watch! I don’t know much about watches but even me a novice can tell it feels nice a solid and the faceplate looks great and it look flashy and pristine!

Screw Down Crowns: Many Invicta watches are equipped with a screw down crown to help prevent water infiltration. This is most common on our Diver models. To do this, simply rotate the crown counterclockwise until it springs open. When you have finished setting the watch, the crown must then be pushed in and screwed back in tightly. Not doing so will cancel the water resistance of the watch and will void all warranties from the manufacturer. Overall, this process should not require a lot of effort or force.

Invicta Men’s 9211 Speedway Collection Chronograph Watch Review

I absolutely love the look and feel of this watch. As many have said, it really does look much better in person and clearly has the same level of quality as expensive department store watches. Also, the clean white and polished steel design goes with casual and dress clothing equally well (IMO). For my profession, I prefer the accuracy and ease of use with a quartz movement and this Invicta works beautifully. Really, for the money, I don’t think you can do better.
